B&ES Yorkshire reveals winners of training awards

The Yorkshire region of The Building & Engineering Services Association’s (B&ES) Yorkshire Region presented its training awards for this year during its annual ball at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.

The Yorkshire region of The Building & Engineering Services Association’s (B&ES) Yorkshire Region presented its training awards for this year during its annual ball at the Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford.

The Yorkshire Training Awards represent a joint initiative between B&ES and its managing agency subsidiary Building Engineering Services Training (BEST), whose chief operations officer Steve Leighton made the presentations.

The awards went to seven employees from four companies:

Heating and Ventilation Installer Level 2: Declan Howland of Heating and Pipework Installations, Leeds.

Heating and Ventilation Installer Level 2 Merit: James Wood of N G Bailey, Leeds.

Heating and Ventilation Craftsman Level 3: Dean Scotthorne of N G Bailey, Leeds.

Electrician Advanced Apprenticeship: Josh Derry of Shepherd Engineering Services, York.

Building Services Incorporated Engineer: Adam James of N G Bailey, Leeds.

Refrigeration Engineer Level 3: Nathan Austin and Thomas Bulloch, both of Crowther and Shaw, Huddersfield (joint winners).

Regional chairman Daniel Ball of Imtech Engineering Services Central congratulated B&ES members in Yorkshire for their commitment to training, and added that it was encouraging to witness the amount of interest the awards had created, and the outstanding quantity and quality of the entrants.
