B&ES members receive discount on CCS registration

Members of B&ES (the Building & Engineering Services Association) can now benefit from a 10 per cent discount on the cost of registration with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).
Registration with the CCS, which was established by the industry in order to improve its image, is open to any company, including trade contractors, that operates within the construction supply chain and wishes to demonstrate - to clients, the general public, other contractors and the workforce - its professionalism and willingness to work to the highest standards.

Companies who register with the scheme, which is nationally recognised and endorsed by many local authorities, are monitored against a Code of Considerate Practice designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.
They also benefit from use of the CCS logo, listing on the CCS website and eligibility to enter for a National Company Award.

'This arrangement with the CCS is yet another benefit to have arisen directly from the acknowledged rigour of the independent inspection and assessment regime to which all B&ES members are subject, and which underwrites their technical competence and commercial capability,' commented chief executive Blane Judd.

For CCS, chief executive Edward Hardy confirmed that he was delighted to be able to have finalised this special arrangement with 'a well-respected and widely trusted name within the industry.

'I am sure that B&ES members will find CCS registration extremely beneficial, both for themselves and for their clients'.

B&ES members interested in securing a 10 per cent discount on CCS registration should, in the first instance, contact Val O'Reilly on 020 7313 4907 (val.oreilly@b-es.org).
