The Building & Engineering Services Association has appointed Richard Ward to the new position of membership director.

The Building & Engineering Services Association has appointed Richard Ward to the new position of membership director.

Mr Ward has a broad range of industry experience at senior level. His previous posts having included commercial directorships with air conditioning manufacturer Toshiba Carrier and refrigeration wholesaler HRP Group. He has also been managing director of Holland Heating and, most recently, sales director of air handling specialist Orange Climate Group.

B&ES chief executive Paul McLaughlin said that Mr Ward would be assuming responsibility for member recruitment and retention, development of the Association’s member benefits and services package and the management of its nationwide regional management network.

Mr Ward confirmed that he looked forward to bringing his solid expertise in sales, marketing and customer relations management and his thorough understanding of building engineering services to the benefit of the Association and the sector.
