Axair Climate gets new name

SOLIHULL-based distrinutor Axair Climate is to change its name to Walter Meier (Climate Solutions), the name being given to all subsidiaries within its parent company Walter Meier Holdings Group.
The name change is effective from January 1.

The Walter Meier brand will have two main operating divisions: Climate and Process.

The Axair operation will be placed within the Climate division along with the group's other well-known names Defensor, Condair, Draabe, Nordmann, Nortec and Novasina.

'Our new common identity is about more than just sharing a name; it is about sharing our strengths and expertise to provide innovative solutions that meet the ongoing needs of our customers,' said CEO Silvan G. R. Meier.

'As building technologies change and building services work more closely with each other and with the fabric of the building, it is the integrated technologies within Walter Meier that will deliver the solutions our customers are looking for,' he said.

'In the longer term, the closer integration of Walter Meier companies will lead to an ever-evolving product range offering more innovation, wider choice and increasingly good value'.
