Award for women in the built environment

SummitSkills is urging building services engineering employers to recognise the achievements of women working in the built environment
The First Woman in the Built Environment category is a new addition to the First Women Awards this year. The awards were created by Real Business magazine in partnership with the CBI and celebrate the outstanding and pioneering work of women, including engineers and project managers. The new category is aimed particularly at women working in a traditionally male environment.

Keith Marshall, chief executive of SummitSkills, said: 'Our sector needs to celebrate the success of all of its skilled operatives, so we are happy to support this new award opportunity for women working in building services engineering.'

The closing date for entries is 13 April and nomination forms can be downloaded at www.fwa.realbusiness.co.uk/nominations . The winners will be revealed at a gala awards dinner on 28 June at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
