Both organisations are not-for-profit and led by employers.  BPEC supports those who work within the building services engineering sector to increase their knowledge and skills through providing qualifications, assessments and learning materials via a network of colleges, private training centres and industry stakeholders.

APHC is the leading membership body for plumbing and heating contractors in England and Wales and provides technical and business support to its members, while representing the needs of the wider industry through working with government and regulatory bodies.

Paul Johnson, chief executive of BPEC, said: “APHC is the leading plumbing and heating association for England and Wales. I know that together, both organisations can make a significant contribution in raising industry standards through the development of qualifications, learning materials, the new Plumbing and Heating Trailblazer Apprenticeship, as well as encouraging engineers once they have successfully completed their qualifications and apprenticeships to continue improving their skills throughout their career.”
