AmbiRad group enters heat recovery market
[firstParagraph]
The AmbiRad group, the space heating specialist, has signed an exclusive deal with Klingenburg of Gladbeck, Germany, for UK-wide distribution of energy-saving plate heat exchangers and thermal wheels.
Ambi-Rad Ltd is Europe's leading manufacturer of radiant tube heating systems and a major supplier of warm air heaters. It specialises in the production of gas-fired commercial heating systems.
Klingenburg, one of world's leading manufacturers of heat recovery systems estimates its products have already reduced annual CO2 emissions by 90m tons in Germany.
The heat recovery equipment will be marketed through Reznor UK, which designs and supplies warm air heating and air induction systems for commercial building markets. Reznor is an independent operating subsidiary of Ambi-Rad Ltd. The firm's keeness to increase the energy efficiency of its products prompted the move to bring the 'complementary' Klingenburg range to the UK market.
Klingenburg's recent innovations provide counterflow plate heat exchangers with heat recovery efficiencies of up to 85% for standard heating and ventilation applications. When applied to fresh air input units the high efficiency heat recovery can eliminate the need for additional low pressure hot water or electric heating coils, thereby reducing running, capital and installation costs.
As a major supplier of thermal wheels throughout the world, Klingenburg supplies wheels for the HVAC industry.
Andrew Patch, OEM sales manager of Reznor, said: 'Recognising that ventilation loss forms the major part of energy consumption in HVAC systems, it is essential that heat recovery is applied wherever possible.
'The Klingenburg range will complement our existing offering both in terms of quality and energy efficiency. Air quality standards must be maintained but at the same time we need to recover as much heat as possible from the exhaust air and re-use it.
'The increased air capacity and high energy efficiency of the Klingenburg heat recovery range offers designers, consultants and manufacturers a new option in reducing both carbon emissions and ongoing running costs.'
