Albion appoints new company secretary

Albion Valves has appointed Stephen Bloomer as company secretary following the retirement of Stephen Bradshaw after 10 years.

Stephen Bloomer.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and with a BA Hons in Accountancy and Financial Management from the University of Sheffield, Mr Bloomer has over 15 years of experience working in finance.

His career has spanned both private and public sector organisations, as well as consultancy. Mr Bloomer has also worked within the financial team of a high profile consumer brand, covering all aspects of financial and accountancy work.

David Keys, managing director at Albion Valves, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to the team. This is an incredibly important role to fill and we are confident that Stephen’s skillset will be a valuable asset to the business. Stephen brings an exceptionally strong track record in management accountancy which will be a great support to our existing management team.”

Mr Bloomer added: “Albion has a growing reputation locally as a great employer and for being a real people orientated business, so when this role came up, needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity of becoming part of the team.

“I have some large shoes to fill following Stephen’s retirement but it is an exciting time to join the business and I very much look forward to the challenges this role brings.”
