Airedale wins at business awards

Airedale International Air Conditioning has won Manufacturer of the Year at the Yorkshire Post Business in Excellence Awards.

Airedale International wins Manufacturer of the Year award.

The awards saw accolades going to a wide range of organisations who came together to celebrate the county’s commercial success.

The awards, which were held at the Emerald Suite at Headingley Stadium, were hosted by Channel 4’s Cathy Newman and featured guest speaker, Yorkshire and England cricketer Tim Bresnan.

Darren Farrar, marketing manager for Airedale International, said: “We were delighted to win the ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ award at the Yorkshire Post Business in Excellence Awards. Our team work consistently hard across every single department and to get the recognition in our region, where so many great manufacturers are based, is special.”

Airedale were introduced on the evening as “One of the nation’s most impressive manufacturers…. with an indefatigable spirit.” This was no doubt a reference to the company overcoming the devastating fire of 2013 that saw their Rawdon factory nearly completely destroyed. The company is now operating on the same site in a new facility.

Farrar continued: “It is an exciting time to be working at Airedale. We have launched our new Azure R32 range of chillers, and we continue to invest heavily in research and development with innovation and cooling expertise at the forefront of our business.”

Airedale International are also shortlisted for three further awards over the coming months, including the Collaborative Working Partnership Award’, ‘Manufacturers Award’ at the CIBSE Yorkshire Awards and ‘Chiller Product’ at the National ACR and Heat Pump Awards.
