A-Gas unveils strategic appointments

A-Gas (UK) has announced that managing director Ken Logan will be relocating to the USA from the beginning of 2013 to take overall responsibility for three US businesses - RemTec, Coolgas and A-Gas Performance Chemicals.

The move is initially for a two-year period and Mr Logan will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing the three businesses and for developing and implementing the firm's strategy for the North American refrigerant market.

The local management teams will remain unchanged under the leadership of Richard Marcus (RemTec), Jason Crawford (Coolgas) and Steve Galaton (A-Gas Performance Chemicals). They will all report direct to Mr Logan. Mr Logan will report to Jon Masters, managing director - Europe, Middle East, Africa & Americas.

Meanwhile, in the UK, John Ormerod, A-Gas UK's business director will take over primary responsibility for the UK business, reporting to Sally Fairman and Jon Masters.

Mike Gorham, regional business development director, will take over primary responsibility for growing the company's business in Europe and the Middle East, especially Environmental Services in the EU, in conjunction with Andy Cook.

John Billows, group technical director will be responsible for overseeing all group technical projects, including the development of recovery and reclaim facilities in UK, Australia and US and will be based in Thailand.
