This follows completion of the company’s purchase of the Safety Hi-Tech reclamation business in Italy. Based in Avezzano, approximately 100km east of Rome, this will allow A-Gas to extend its refrigerant recovery and reclamation services into Italy and southern Europe.

Managing director of A-Gas in Europe John Ormerod said: “Launching A-Gas Italia is a great opportunity for us to expand further afield and to use our expertise and proven track record in the wider refrigerants market. A-Gas willintegrate the existing workforce into the business as part of the transaction and look to grow and continue to invest in the site and region of Abruzzo in Italy. This will allow A-Gas to recover and reclaim used refrigerant from across Italy in line with its aim of maintaining its position as the global leader in full lifecycle management of refrigerant gases.
