Wolseley Group welcomes Matt Western MP to its head office

Wolseley Group welcomed Matt Western, MP for Warwick and Leamington, to its head office last week for a behind-the-scenes look at its plumbing, heating, climate, and infrastructure solutions.

Based at Kingmaker Court in Warwick, Wolseley Group plays a vital role in the local economy and across the UK trade sector, supporting thousands of professionals through its extensive branch network and growing portfolio of specialist brands.

During the visit, Mr. Western met with senior leaders and toured key departments, including Marketing, Digital, HR, and Health & Safety. The discussions focused on how Wolseley is evolving to meet the needs of a fast-changing industry – from digital transformation to workforce development and sustainability.

The visit also proved an opportunity for Mr Western to learn more about Renewables Centre, Wolseley’s latest initiative aimed at supporting tradespeople as they transition into low-carbon technologies. The scheme provides access to technical training, design support, and product guidance.

After launching this year, Renewables Centre is playing a key role in addressing the skills gap in the renewables sector, by upskilling the current workforce to help meet the Government’s net zero ambitions.

Simon Gray, CEO of Wolseley Group, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Matt Western MP to our Warwick head office and share how Wolseley is evolving to meet the needs of a fast-changing industry.

“From investing in training and digital innovation, to helping our customers navigate the shift toward renewables, we’re proud of the role we play both locally and nationally. Engaging with policymakers like Matt is vital as we continue to contribute to the rapidly evolving future of the sector.”

Matt Western, said: “It’s great to see a business like Wolseley, headquartered here in Warwickshire, leading the way in supporting the trade sector.

“Their work to upskill tradespeople and adapt to emerging technologies shows real leadership and is exactly what we need to see from large employers in this space.”
