In his new role, Cartledge will be responsible for managing all external sales and will join Weatherite's board, reporting to managing director, Jim Gale.

Cartledge, 46, has worked at Weatherite for almost 25 years. He started his career in Weatherite's factory, fabricating air conditioning units, and was offered a place in the office 18 months later where he began to design and develop products and manufacture alternative solutions. In 1991 Cartledge joined Weatherite's technical director, Paul Griffiths, in the design and technical department which led him to the sales office in 1995.

During his tenure in Weatherite's sales division, he has worked in various roles from sales and applications engineer to sales manager and finally business development executive. Cartledge's main role during the last 15 years has been to manage the company's Tesco Plc account, which he will continue to do.

Cartledge will work closely with Weatherite's commercial director Paul Smiles.
