The seminar will be presented by the Trox Academy giving practical guidance on system selection and application at the HEVAR event which runs from September 26-27 in Lawrence Hall, Greycoat street, London.

London HEVAR's programme of seminars can now be viewed online. They include seminars entitled 'Higher Comfort - Lower Carbon', 'Legionella update- Lessons from Barrow' and 'Getting the right boiler for your job- higher efficiency Vs standard efficiency'.

London HEVAR is the biggest of the three regional HEVAR exhibitions hosted by Heating and Ventilating Review. With leading HVAC suppliers exhibiting, visitors can expect product launches, live demos and seminars covering the latest legislative and technical advances.

A spokesman for Trox said 'Ground breaking system solutions with significant energy reductions will form the theme of the Trox seminars at the London show. Sustainability; reducing carbon foot print, flexibility, decreasing build programme, reducing whole life cycle costs are all at the heart of the Trox design bureau'.

The HEVAR exhibitions are popular amongst buyers and specifiers of HVAC equipment. Previous visitors include architects, consulting engineers, local government representatives, contractors, installers, quantity surveyors, retail outlets, utility companies and distributors.

This year London HEVAR has 122 exhibition stands available. No less than 1,000 people attended the event last year.

Heating and Ventilating Review and Ruskin is running a competition to give away an iPod on both days of the two-day exhibition. HVR editor Paul Braithwaite has the job of picking the two prize draw winners.

The exhibition is free and lunch will be given to all visitors who register on the HEVAR website. Every 25th person to pre-register online and attend the show will also receive a bottle of wine.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
