Team Fujitsu toughs it out for children's charity

Datateam Business Media staff members recently completed the notorious Tough Mudder obstacle course to raise more than £500 for charity.

Team Fujitsu.

The nine-strong team, sponsored by Fujitsu, joined hundreds of other competitors in heading to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire to take on the 10-mile run – renowned as being master-minded by British Special Forces to challenge even ‘the toughest of the tough’.

In a race which put their mental and physical endurance to the test, Team Fujitsu faced an array of formidable obstacles including a chilling -30ºC ice bath, imposing block walls, revolving monkey bars, mud pits and electric currents – all amid steep and slippery terrain.

Teamwork and determination saw the entire group cross the finish line with a time of 3.5 hours, raising £545 for the Child Brain Injury Trust, a charity devoted to the provision of non-medical assistance to families affected by childhood-acquired brain injury.

Julian Davies, Datateam Tough Mudder and events and sales executive, said: “It was such an incredible day. Thanks so much to everyone at Fujitsu for sponsoring us and helping us to raise a fantastic amount of money for this charity. The Child Brain Injury Trust does so much worthwhile work, so it was great to be able to help.”
