With the manufacturer currently engineering an on-going transition from the Buderus brand, Ecobuild gives visitors the chance to view the new-look Bosch products on a stand shared with sister company and manufacturer of domestic heating appliances, Worcester, Bosch Group.

With a growing portfolio of products providing outputs from 65kW to 19.2MW, Bosch Commercial and Industrial Heating boasts a versatile range of high-efficiency and condensing boilers. This range is supported by a series of intelligent control modules to maximise energy efficiency.

In support of its established boiler range, the manufacturer will also exhibit its range of combined heat and power modules and supporting service packages, plus details on its GWPL 38 Gas absorption heat pump and range of solar thermal collectors.

With the take-up of biomass soaring, particularly in the commercial sector, 2012 was a good year for Euroheat. The company says 2013 looks set to offer yet more success for this wood-heating specialist, not least due to the introduction of the long awaited domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

Euroheat will showcase its range of boilers and stoves on stand N3730, including the latest in domestic pellet power, the K10, an automatic boiler with outputs of 10 to 26kW.

'The K10 is a great choice for many homeowners considering moving away from fossil fuels; our most competitively priced pellet boiler, it presents an excellent alternative, particularly for those who have previously relied on oil,' said Simon Holden, co-founder of Euroheat.

Other products on display will include:

· HDG: From 10 to 190kW, HDG wood burning boilers come in a range of sizes for both large homes and commercial buildings.

· SHT: Designed for the average family home, the SHT wood burning boiler is a range of boilers which can be fuelled by pellets, or logs. The latest product in the range is the TDA Thermoduel, available in outputs of 15 to 40kW. The TDA offers duel fuel functionality - logs or pellets.

As part of the company's Green Agenda, Fläkt Woods' interactive stand (S1618) will highlight a 'Roof to Room' philosophy and holistic approach to ventilation system design. This will encompass the launch of two new products from the FreeFlow range of natural ventilation, plus what is said to be the world's first 'active' room diffusers - Optimix.

Fläkt Woods will also display its e3co Crown and e3co Star energy recovery units (ERU), as well as the latest window actuators and control systems.

Displayed products will, says the company, help specifiers and building services engineers expand their knowledge of ventilation systems, as well as demonstrate a passive approach to system design. This is spearheaded by the FreeFlow range of natural ventilation products which includes 'pop-up' air stacks, intelligent fixed wind turrets, rotating wind cowls, specialist ventilation turrets and solar shading systems. These are said to provide continuous natural ventilation and heat management to achieve appropriate standards of indoor air quality while reducing a building's CO2 emissions.

With its official launch at Ecobuild 2013, Optimix is an 'active' diffuser that incorporates a newly designed actuator to regulate the air flow and air throw. The unit can deliver a pattern of air flow that is independent of air volume, reducing draughts and noise while maintaining the comfort levels, no matter how many are in the room, says Fläkt Woods. The Optimix can also be used as a combined VAV and diffuser by changing of the actuator to display airflow, this means that one product is suitable for two distinct applications.

Also on show is the e3co Crown ERU which captures the energy contained in exhausted air and recovers it to provide additional heating and/or cooling for a building, reducing the requirements of the main plant. It also has a claimed thermal efficiency of over 90 per cent, an improvement of over 35 per cent on commonly used heat recovery products on the market.

Altecnic will be exhibiting a working model of the UK's first triple dirt and air separator with an external, removable magnet on stand N2230.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak to industry professionals about the range of business boosting opportunities Dirtmag IQ offers and see first-hand how the technically advanced product can be installed in five minutes and serviced in seconds.

Capturing both magnetic and non-magnetic particles in the IQ's low pressure Dirtsep chamber, the IQ's patent-pending powerful external Magbelt is designed to attract and separate system-damaging magnetic particles. During routine servicing, there is no need for isolation as the Magbelt simply unclips triggering magnetic and non-magnetic sludge to be released via a ¾in full bore discharge.

Following the launch of its Heating Interface Unit at last year's Ecobuild, Altecnic is showcasing the latest model in its product range. Featuring electronic controls, integral pump bypass and differential pressure switch for increased energy efficiency, the company's HIUs are designed to help building consultants meet design points for BREEAM and LEED and comply with UK Building Regulations Part L.

Visitors will also be able to see the full range of solar components available from Altecnic's renewables division, including what it says is the UK's first tempering valve for solar installations that is independently verified as complying with the revised UK Building Regulations Part G 2010.

REHAU is launching a competition to win 'the driving experience of a lifetime' at Ecobuild, aimed directly at installers of its RAUVITHERM flexible pre-insulated district heating pipework.

All installers buying the RAUVITHERM pre-insulated PE-Xa pipework through national or independent merchants between 1 March and 30 June, 2013 will be able to register their purchase via a dedicated website at www.rehau.co.uk/racing and will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win their choice of driving day.

REHAU is stressing that there are no restrictions on the number of times installers can enter so the more pipe that they buy, the better their chance of winning. The winning installer will be able to select from a range of different driving experiences - from classic to adrenalin - and will be able to choose from a range of nationwide locations.

Steve Richmond, Business Team Leader at REHAU responsible for district heating products, says the competition is designed to strengthen the partnership between REHAU and its customers who have helped to drive significant growth in the UK RAUVITHERM business.

It was this growth which prompted REHAU to invest in the UK's first dedicated production line for pre-insulated district heating pipework in May 2012 when it opened a new facility in Blaenau, North Wales to provide a fast and flexible service to the UK market.

The competition will be officially launched on REHAU's stand (N2131) at Ecobuild but installers can get off the start line now by registering their details in advance at www.rehau.co.uk/racing.

The S&P stand (N3520) will feature a selection of energy-saving ventilation products including the new TD-SILENT ecowatt range which, for the first time, is claimed to combine the lowest noise levels with the lowest energy consumption in one inline mixed flow product range.

Says the company: 'The TD-SILENT ecowatt has been awarded the Quiet Mark in recognition of its low levels, while the brushless EC motor and adjustable fan speed ensure responsive ventilation with minimum energy consumption. Models in the range encompass air volumes from 180 to 1,660 cu m/h.'

Also on show will be S&P's new EASYVENT 2.0 fan selection software, which is designed to make it fast and easy to select the best S&P product for each application. EASYVENT 2.0 is now available online for access from any device with web-browsing capabilities.

Visitors to the stand will be able to find out more about other innovations from S&P, and the regulations that impact on ventilation, as well as being able to browse the company's new website.

Viessmann will demonstrate its system engineering approach at Ecobuild on stand N2620. In addition to nine traditional and renewable heating products are a series of sector-specific graphics illustrating how modern, efficient and high performing heating systems can be easily integrated.

'At Ecobuild 2013, we are keen to show not only our product range, but how our products' built-in integration means they are designed from the outset to work together. Whether the installation is in a school, a leisure centre, a house or an office, customers can expect Viessmann to have thought of everything from the ideal combination of technologies to suit the application to one easy-to-use, integrated control system.

'This translates into a straightforward systems design approach for installers and engineers and superior performing systems, with lower service and maintenance costs for end-users,' said Graham Russell, Viessmann managing director.

Viessmann will exhibit a product for every major UK fuel type, covering both the domestic and commercial markets. Leading the line-up of German-engineered technology is the new Vitodens 100-W gas condensing boiler, launched for the 2012/13 heating season, alongside the Vitodens 111-W wall hung gas condensing boiler with integral cylinder and the Vitodens 200-W high specification boiler.

Renewable products include the Vitocal 200-S split heat pump, Vitocal 200-G ground source heat pump, Vitoligno 300-P domestic biomass boiler and the Vitosol 200-F flat plate solar thermal panel. The company will also show its Vitovolt 200 solar photovoltaic panel.

Home energy specialist SIG Energy Management's stand (N830) will be an attraction for delegates wanting to dissect and discuss the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

Alongside the Green Deal, ECO is going to be the key challenge for the coming year, according to SIG Energy Management's md, Neil Donald.

'To iron out exactly how we can approach this challenging new government target, we need honest, open debate between government, industry, housing associations and tenants,' he says. 'We intend for our stand at Ecobuild to be a hub for all things ECO - a chance for delegates to come and have full and frank conversations about what needs to be done.'

Exhibiting on stand N2500, Ventive will showcase its Ventive S and S+ products, which are designed to improve air quality without the need for additional power, heating, or cooling. The products use a combination of air buoyancy and wind to create a flow of air within the interior of a building. Ventive S is targeted at retro-fits and is designed to fit into existing chimney stacks. Ventive S+ uses integrated duct systems, making it a good option for new builds, or retro-fits for buildings without chimneys.

Sentinel Commercial will be giving away System Check water analysis products worth £50 each at this year's Ecobuild exhibition. What's more, as part of a daily prize draw, three visitors will be awarded a cash-back guarantee of up to £1,000 on their order of a commercial boiler treatment package. This year's Wilo stand at EcoBuild - N2145 - will feature the Wilo-Yonos PICO, the Wilo-Stratos GIGA, the Wilo-Helix Excel and the Wilo Assistant.

The Wilo-Yonos PICO is a small circulator launched at last year's Ecobuild.

The Wilo-Stratos GIGA, also introduced in 2012, is claimed to offer designers, specifiers and architects the easy optimisation of energy costs and environmental balance of a building or industrial complex. A combination of new hydraulics and a new drive concept (HED - High Efficiency Drive) is said to allow the Wilo-Stratos GIGA to offer major energy saving benefits. Says Vilo: 'Specifying the GIGA will result in a saving of emissions of approximately 8,000 kg CO2 per year while saving up to £70,000 in electricity costs per pump installed over a 15 year lifecycle, compared to conventional uncontrolled pumps (based on the Blue Angel load profile). The GIGA has a typical payback period of less than two years.'

The third key product on the stand will see the launch of the Wilo Helix Excel, a new series of high-pressure multistage centrifugal pumps. Its fields of application include water supply, pressure boosting, industrial circulation systems, process water, cooling water circuits, washing systems and irrigation systems.

Wilo again: 'The Wilo-Helix Excel already more than meets the legal requirements that will not come into effect until 2017 and already beats the IE4 limit values which are only available as a draft. It offers secure planning for the years ahead... It also offers up to 70 per cent less maintenance expense with easy and convenient access to the gasket without uninstalling the motor.'

Finally, the Wilo Assistant is an app available on both iPhone and Android phones that offers an interactive replacement guide for heating and secondary hot water pumps.

Says the company: 'You simply enter the name of the pump to be replaced and you will be provided with a recommendation of the suitable, high-efficiency Wilo replacement pump.'

There is also a savings calculator which works out electricity and CO2 savings potential when using a power-saving Wilo high-efficiency pump compared with an uncontrolled heating pump. And there is a shortened glandless pump catalogue, plus more including news and a quick contact link to your contact at Wilo UK.
