Keston Boilers has finally launched its Q37 boiler - three months after thieves stole the prototype model of the boiler from the company's HQ.
On November 25, two men drove off with the prototype model of the Q37 in a van, after Keston staff put it outside the firm's Bromley headquarters. At the time of the theft, a courier had been booked to take it to a photographic studio, as part of preparations for its launch in January. The boiler manufacturer had offered a reward to anyone with relevant information about the theft. Being a prototype, the stolen unit was not a fully working unit.
'Despite a set back late last year when the Q37 prototype was taken from outside our head office by opportunistic thieves, Keston has risen to the timescale challenge of launching the real thing, and we're confident it was worth the wait', said Nick Whitwell, managing director of Keston Boilers.
The Q37 is part of the Qudos range, a compact, heat-only unit, specifically designed to make installation easier. The Q37 has top and bottom pipe connections so installers do not have to route pipes behind the boiler, making for an easy, hassle-free fit.
The Q37 is the largest boiler in the Qudos range and the first appliance to showcase Keston's new look casing.
