Sentinel signs up to CIPHE charter

Runcorn firm Sentinel Performance Solutions is the latest company to sign-up to the 'Expect to See' charter drawn up by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
Sentinel's manufactures products that clean and protect residential and commercial central heating systems and the firm's move to sign the charter means it has agreed to follow a code of practice set down by CIPHE.

It has agreed to :

  • Promote the use of professional plumbing and heating engineers in customer literature.

  • Expect technical members of staff to be members of CIPHE at the level appropriate to their qualifications.

  • Expect to use professionally qualified CIPHE members when seeking to have products and services supplied to customers.

  • Ask for membership or qualifications leading to membership for new recruits into technical roles relevant to the scope of CIPHE.

'We're delighted to support any initiative that raises the levels of professionalism in our sector', said CEO at Sentinel, Gary Roebuck.

'It's vital to us that the men and women at the sharp end of this sector are professional and highly qualified to advise on the safest and most energy efficient solutions to their customers needs, utilising the highest quality products and being associated with the beacons of professionalism that exist within the domestic heating sector. It's important to us to be involved and committed to this', Roebuck added.

CIPHE chief executive Blane Judd introduced the charter to drive up professional standards within the plumbing and heating industry. CIPHE is represented by more than 12,000 individuals in the UK and around the globe.

To sign up to the charter call CIPHE on 01708 472791 or visit www.ciphe.org.uk.
