Sanyo Air Conditioners has launched a new heating division in the UK focused on its heat pump systems.
Headed up by Graham Wright, a former Sanyo product manager, the division will concentrate on delivering heat pump-based heating systems.

The company's star heating product is the ECO CO2-based heat pump offering hot water for heating in small commercial and residential buildings. A HFC-based system is also available for heating and cooling and can be used with traditional fan coil units.

Graham Wright said: 'Sanyo has for many years pioneered the development of heat pump technology. Its new generation of carbon dioxide systems, coupled with the latest HFC-based technology, provide industry-leading performance and are set to challenge the supremacy of the gas-fired boiler in the domestic and small commercial heating market'

Sanyo's one day ECO heat pump system training course starts at several sites this April, including its Whyteleafe head office, Oceanair site in Bristol and Easyair site in Birmingham.

Part-subsidized by Sanyo to encourage attendance, the course enables students to apply for government grants for renewable technologies.
