RIBA approves REHAU renewable heat technologies CPD seminar

REHAU's has announced that its Renewable Heat Technologies CPD seminar has now been approved by RIBA.
RIBA approves REHAU renewable heat technologies CPD seminar
The seminar provides a useful overview of technologies including ground source heat pumps (GSHP), biomass, biogas, anaerobic digestion and solar thermal underground thermal energy storage.

It begins by presenting the basics of the DECC Heat Strategy and provides an introduction to the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), including the key criteria for projects to qualify and current tariff levels.

Then there are separate sections on the benefits of GSHPs and the different methods of heat extraction via boreholes, thermal piles and interseasonal heat transfer; explanations of how to use biomass with district heating, including the DECC National Heat Map; and an analysis of the different types of feedstock suitable for anaerobic digestion.

In addition, there is a useful insight into how to improve the efficiency of ground source energy by recharging collectors with solar energy, effectively creating an underground thermal energy store. There are also details of how to combine ground source energy with district heating.

REHAU says the CPD is an educational tool and aims to offer a truly balanced and objective overview. It also includes inspirational examples of schemes worldwide which have been completed using each of the different renewable heat technologies.

To book a seminar contact Jayne Blackborow on 0207 580 6155 or email Jayne.Blackborow@rehau.com. In addition, more details are available via REHAURenewables on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
