Remember 5th November for pay claim classes

Specialist contractors keen to understand how to use the adjudication process to claim a payment they are owed can attend a half-day seminar on the subject.
Remember 5th November for pay claim classes
The National Specialist Contractors' Council (NSCC) is holding a seminar on adjudication on November 5 at Lord's Cricket Ground in London and is seen as the next step in the NSCC's Fair Payment campaign.

Backed by the Association of Independent Construction Adjudicators (AICA) and PJ English Associates, (adjudication experts) the seminar will include:
1) A guide to the adjudication process
2) Top tips for maximising the chances of success
3) A 'live' adjudication
4) The latest news on the NSCC Fair Payment campaign.

Contractors who have been helped down the adjudication path include Graham Savage of Stretch Ceilings Ltd, an AIS member. He said 'Adjudication worked for us with a speedy resolution which found in our favour. Having an adjudicator appointed for free by AICA certainly helped and we would have no hesitation in using adjudication again and recommending it to other specialist contractors.'

The Fair Payment Campaign was launched in September 2007 to improve payment practices in the construction industry. It has three key objectives: certainty of payment, 30-day payment periods, and
the removal of retentions.
