M&E building services provider Birchall is keeping a key ally ahead of the game by sponsoring a father and son in the Renault Clio Cup.
The Newcastle-under-Lyme-based firm is sponsoring
Jonathan Shepherd and his son David, collectively known as Team Gladman, of Gladman Developments of which Jonathan is a director.
Birchall's logo is visible on Team Gladman's two Renault Clio cars competing in the saloon car race.
Birchall's sponsorship follows a successful last season, where in the final race of 2007, David Shepherd won the Driver of the Day award for clawing his way back from 24th place to sixth, while his father finished in 13th place in a field of 40 drivers.
Birchall director Ian Birchall said: 'Our association with motor sport has also increased our profile among clients and suppliers who have been spotting our name from the stands and on television.
'We are a preferred supplier of mechanical and electrical services to Gladman throughout the UK, so renewing our sponsorship of their racing team was the least that we could do to repay their loyalty', he added.
