Online training for ThermaSkirt registered installers

For installers who want to be at the forefront of delivering energy efficient and cost saving heating solutions, DiscreteHeat has launched a series of online training modules for its ThermaSkirt system.

On completion, they can become ThermaSkirt registered installers.

Ethan Wadsworth, director of sales & marketing, said: “Since opening up our Registered Installer programme last year we have been pleased and amazed by the huge number of heating engineers who have been interested and want to join – there’s obviously an appetite for an innovative heating offer for their customers.

“This online ‘Introduction to ThermaSkirt’ course is very accessible, and explains how skirting board heating works and how it is installed. It's a great way for interested installers to get a taste of all the benefits before signing up.”

ThermaSkirt is an energy efficient infrared radiant heating system, cleverly designed to look like a traditional skirting board. It can work with the existing heating system, whether that’s a gas boiler, heat pump or electric heating, and can be controlled just like conventional radiators, using existing thermostats and timers or smart controls. ThermaSkirt is around 13% more energy efficient than radiators on a gas boiler system, and up to 25% more efficient when connected to heat pump or solar PV systems.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
