OFTEC appoints new director general

Jeremy Hawksley is the new director general of OFTEC.
OFTEC appoints new director general
The former managing director of the Builders Merchants Federation, is looking to raise the profile of oil heating by strengthening relationships with OFTEC members and representing the industry to government.

His is the first of two key directorships made by OFTEC. OFTEC has also appointed Glen Rae to fill the role of registration services director. He will work to improve and maintain standards within the oil heating and cooking industry.

Having previously worked for OFTEC, Glen worked closely with the ODPM to set up OFTEC's oil fired competent persons scheme. Glen has experience in training, assessment, registration and apprenticeship programmes and has worked with UKAS and certification bodies.
