The new year promises renewable resolutions at HVAC show Manchester HEVAR 2010, which features speakers from industry bodies and seminars from event exhibitors.
The free HVAC exhibition runs from February 10-11, 2010 and first up to the lectern is Bernard Dawson of Riello, who will present the case for liquid biofuel as an alternative low carbon heating solution to biomass. The talk will highlight the advantages of liquid biofuel combustion over that of biomass and deal with the potential for the utilisation of this fuel in heating systems.
A CPD accredited seminar session from Bryan Barlow, sales director of Spirotech UK, will cover energy efficient wet systems and well known problems created in the commissioning phase.
Graeme Waugh of Tour & Andersson will discuss dynamic balancing (methodologies, instrumentation and balancing large and small terminal units). The TA- Scope (which is being launched at the exhibition) is a wireless, handheld device designed to measure and balance the flow, differential pressure, temperature and power of complex systems.
On February 11, James Townley of Enwa will cover the topic of water treatment and HVAC efficiency.
Sustainability is the focus of Mark Northcott of Broag's seminar, who will pose the question: are we being lead in the wrong direction? How much of the information we receive is actually a sales pitch as opposed to science? Northcott will put forward some answers to these questions.
Manchester HEVAR takes place at the Lancashire county cricket club at Old Trafford.
