New year honours King

ANNE King, membership and marketing director of BSRIA (Building Services Research & Information Association) has been awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours list.
New year honours King
King's award for services to industry is recognition of her 30 years in building services.

King has been involved in encouraging companies to consider best practice in the building services sector. Her involvement in the Modern Built Environment KTN (Knowledge Transfer Network) is aimed at encouraging firms to be more innovative and improve their business through collaborating with other firms.

King said: 'Although its the individual who gets the award, its important to thank the teams I've worked with. I'm glad to say I've received the honour while I'm still involved in the sector.

'I've seen more new technologies in the last 10 years than in the last 20. One of the biggest changes that makes it fun to be in this sector is the carbon agenda. This industry can do so much to save the planet'.
