Lee Davies is the new president of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE).
He takes over from Allan McIntosh.
Mr Davies has been in the trade for around 30 years and worked for Portsmouth City Council as well as being involved in lecturing on all aspects of the trade. Ron Berry will be vice president.
Mr Davies has been an active member of the CIPHE since joining as an apprentice plumber in 1982. He is also the deputy chief executive of the Institute for Learning (IfL).
He plans to make education and learning the major theme of his CIPHE presidential year.
