New logistics model to streamline product availability and delivery across London

Pipe Centre and Climate Centre, two key brands supporting the mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration trades, have launched a new hub-and-spoke logistics model across the capital - designed to improve delivery speed, product availability and service reliability across London and the South East.

The hub-and-spoke model will include a network of 15 branches, supported by three major hubs offering 150,000 square feet of storage and a fleet of 35 delivery vehicles, all operating across Greater London and the South East. The infrastructure supports same-day delivery, next-day delivery for orders placed by 5pm, and scheduled deliveries outside standard operating hours.

Luke Gray, director of region – London & South East, said: “Customers need certainty - especially in a city like London where timelines are tight and access is complex. This new model enables us to deliver faster, more reliably, and with greater flexibility. It’s about ensuring our customers can get the products they need, where and when they need them, without disruption. Enabling our customers to be more time efficient and ultimately improving the delivery of both their projects and profitability.

“This is a practical, on-the-ground improvement that will make a real difference. It’s built around the realities of how our customers work - and we’re proud to be delivering a better, faster and more resilient service across the capital.

As part of the launch, customers can expect more consistent stock availability, faster site deliveries from as early as 7:00am, and improved access to hard-to-move products via a well-matched regional fleet. For branch teams, the structure provides enhanced replenishment support, smarter stock planning, and a stronger safety net, ultimately freeing up staff to spend more time supporting customers.

Both Pipe Centre and Climate Centre serve a wide range of trade customers, from contractors and service engineers to large-scale construction projects. The new logistics model is expected to benefit those working on urgent repairs and planned installations alike, ensuring supply chains remain agile in a challenging operating environment.
