Mark Russell is the new managing director at Fantech Ventilation Ireland

Mr Russell moves up from his previous role as sales director at Fantech and replacing Mr Russell in his capacity is Murray Anderson.

Fantech Ventilation was originally set-up by Mr O’Toole in 1999 and is today one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of ventilation products. As one of the longest serving members in Elta Group, having worked in various roles over the past 34 years, Brendan will leave a rich legacyacross the business.

Mr O’Toole reflects on his career with Elta Group: “It all started in my front room, the boot of my Nissan 120Y, complete with towbar, box trailer, personal mobile phone and computer. I had represented the group’s founders, Ray and David Ball for 14 years. I knew the people and the product pedigree, so it was an easy choice.”

Mr Russell started his career in the ventilation industry over 25 years ago in 1996 as an air handling unit (AHU) application engineer. He joined Fantech in 2010 and in 2014 was appointed as sales director, and since his appointment, the company has grown by over 300%.

Meanwhile, Mr Anderson joined Air Movement Supplies in 2004 and also holds over 25 years’ experience in ventilation engineering.

On his new position, Mr Russell said: “Brendan has been a huge credit not just to Fantech but to the industry as a whole with his passion, desire, knowledge and expertise in ventilation and fan technology.

“I certainly have big shoes to fill, and we are going to continue Brendan’s good work, with the aim of delivering innovative products, reducing energy consumption and creating more sustainable, healthy buildings.”

Mark Rickard, chief executive at Elta Group, added: “Unfortunately for us, Brendan has chosen to retire, to enjoy the good life with his family. We will not forget the contribution that Brendan has made, the business that he has built, the people that he has mentored. He leaves Fantech Ventilation in great health and with great prospects for continued growth in the future.”
