Ricky Nelson has joined Alpha as technical sales manager for the South West of the UK. John Welsh has joined to cover northern and eastern regions of Scotland and Francis Christie (pictured) will oversee western Scotland and Scottish borders.  Collectively they bring a wealth of technical expertise from across the heating industry.

All three technical sales managers will focus on providing sales back up for Alpha’s existing customer base as well as nurturing successful relationships with merchants and independent installers, helping to maintain a strong and cohesive supply chain.

Overall the team brings a diversity of transferable skills from within the heating sector.  A key part of the role is understanding the route to market, and with experience in the boiler manufacturing side, and John and Francis both having worked for some of the top merchants, such as Plumbase and Plumb Center, all three are well equipped to deliver in this aspect of the job.

Ricky Nelson commented, “Alpha is a great brand and I am really looking forward to the new challenge.  This is a fantastic opportunity to apply my previous industry experience but with a slightly fresh take, having worked extensively with installers in the past pitching loyalty schemes, but not having sold the boilers themselves.

“With Alpha’s reputation for building strong business relationships, I will aim to take this to a new level to help raise the company’s profile in the industry even further.”
