Leading mechanical and electrical building services specialist J S Wright has boosted its fast-growing electrical business with the appointment of a new senior electrical design engineer.

Neil Brazier will design, submit and co-ordinate electrical services solutions for high profile M&E projects across the hotel, residential, social housing, student accommodation, leisure and commercial sectors.

Based at its Birmingham headquarters, Neil will work with J S Wright’s National Electrical Contracts Director Paul Featherston in supporting all three of the company’s offices in Aston, Bristol and London.

With 20 years of experience in the electrical services industry, Neil was previously senior electrical design engineer for a facilities management company in Worcester. Prior to that he was an electrical contracts engineer with a building services firm in West Bromwich where he was apprenticed.

His credits include the fit-out and refurbishment of a number of Primark and John Lewis stores across the UK, including the John Lewis flagship in Grand Central Birmingham above New Street railway station. He has also worked on a data suite for IBM and a UPS system for HSBC in Arlington, Leeds.

His career highlights also include working on Hadley Learning Community School in Telford and the new accident and emergency unit at Sandwell General Hospital.

Neil, who lives in Wolverhampton, holds a Higher National Certificate in Building Services from East Birmingham College and is a Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.

Marcus Aniol, J S Wright Managing Director, said: “Neil’s experience will prove invaluable as we continue to develop as an M&E services provider in association with our electrical supply chain.”

J S Wright is currently working on site on a £27million M&E contract to equip London’s new Keybridge development incorporating Britain’s tallest brick residential tower, and earlier this year was awarded its first fully self-delivered M&E contract for Pegasus Life’s  Hampstead Green Place homes scheme.

The company, which was founded in Birmingham in 1890, was voted one of the UK’s Top Ten Specialist Contractors to Work For in the 2016 Construction Enquirer Awards, and named H&V News Building Services Contractor of the Year in 2015.
