Mansfield Pollard named Employer of the Year

Mansfield Pollard – a leading supplier of industrial air handling units, kitchen ventilation equipment and acoustic control solutions to a global consumer base – has been recognised as ‘Employer of the Year’ at the Telegraph and Argus ‘Bradford Means Business’ Awards.

The eighth awards ceremony was held at the Aagrah Midpoint and celebrated the flourishing businesses that are leading the area’s renaissance. In association with Bradford Council and Bradford Chamber of Commerce, the shortlisted companies vied for awards in 10 different categories.

The coveted Employer of the Year crown, sponsored by BASF, is awarded to the company which, in the opinion of its staff, provides the best working environment, best people development practices, best skills and training programmes and demonstrates genuine care for the health and well-being of its workforce.

Lou Frankland, sales director at Mansfield Pollard commented: “To be voted for by our own employees makes this award extra special and is testament to the success of our transformational leadership team, whose aim is to put people at the heart of everything we do.

“As a values-led employer, the company is committed to delivering its colleagues enriching and engaging experiences at work, along with opportunities to develop, grow and be empowered to reach their full potential.

“Giving our colleagues the right training and support is essential to delivery of our ambitious three-year strategic growth plan and we are absolutely delighted to be named Bradford’s Employer of the Year.”

In addition to winning Employer of the Year, Mansfield Pollard achieved runner-up in the Manufacturer of the Year category after being acknowledged for its delivery of a technically and logistically challenging project to supply 122 innovative vertical air towers to a high-profile building in central London.
