MagnaClean tops industry testing

The first published independent industry testing into magnetic filter performance has produced starkly contrasting results for manufacturers, according to ADEY Professional Heating Solutions.
It said: 'Testing undertaken by Gastec at CRE, specialists in solid fuel, natural gas and renewable energy forms, examined the performance of ADEY's MagnaClean Professional and TwinTech filters in a head-to-head with competitors Spirotrap Magnabooster2 and Fernox TF1.
'Since ADEY introduced the concept of magnetic filtration to the central heating sector nearly a decade ago, the company has been pressing for the adoption of minimum standards as a means of introducing best practice and performance for installers and homeowners.
'The testing confirmed ADEY's MagnaClean products as clear leaders within the sector. The controlled laboratory tests included magnetic; non-magnetic; first pass magnetic; maximum dry capacity; and wet capacity tests.
'Between them, ADEY's domestic MagnaClean Professional and MagnaClean TwinTech filters achieved the best performance results across all areas tested.'
