Low Carbon grant deadline looms

Firms still have time to apply for a Low Carbon grant before the June end deadline.
Phase 2 of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP2) provides grants for the installation of microgeneration technologies to public sector organisations and charitable bodies.

Organisations can apply for 50% of the cost of installing approved technologies. There is a maximum of £1 million in grant funds available per site.

The government offers two main schemes for non-profit organisations such as schools, hospitals and housing associations, typically offering grants of up to 50% of eligible costs. These schemes are LCBP2 and Community Sustainable Energy Programme (CSEP).

LCBP2 is a joint DECC/Defra fund set up to encourage the deployment of low carbon energy and energy efficiency technologies.
