Logic4training launches M&E conversion course

Logic4training has introduced a Mechanical to Electrical Conversion Course which will enable mechanical engineers to achieve a multi-skilled status and develop electrical maintenance competencies, such as isolation and termination of a range of cables, to support and enhance their role.

Designed for mechanical engineers working within an industrial environment, the course covers everything from BS7671, to earthing, bonding and fault-finding on single and three phase systems. Logic4training also offers a bespoke, on-site* element, to specifically suit the plant and working environment of individual candidates.

Director at Logic4training, Mark Krull, said: 'This new conversion course is ideal for any engineer with a mechanical background looking to branch out and develop their electrical skills, enabling them to operate across the two disciplines, as their role may often demand.'

The Mechanical to Electrical Conversion Course is split into two modules; both five days long and covers a range of competence-based electrical assessments, including:

  • Inverters and motors
  • 3 phase isolation

  • Termination of a range of cables

  • Plugs and sockets

  • Replacing and resetting protective devices

  • Replacing motors and sensors on a like-for-like basis

Training is available at all three of Logic4training centres in Northolt, Basildon and Luton. For more information or to book visit www.logic4training.co.uk or call 0345 845 7222.

*For the on-site training option there needs to be a minimum of four people from one company (syllabus could also be amended as required).
