Kershaw gets £900,000 m&e job at Birmingham hospital

Kershaw Mechanical Services has won a £900,000 contract to design and build the mechanical services for a new outpatients department at the Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
The work, for contractor Shaylor Construction, will include ventilation, air conditioning, installation of medical gases, solar, BMS controls and water services.

Staff at Kershaw Mechanical Services are intent on helping the project secure a Breeam (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) rating of excellent.

Ian Greenstock, the firm's sales director said: 'The project has been carefully designed to minimise the environmental impact of the new department. This is a fantastic project to work on and we have started work immediately. '
