Kem stay competitive with regional branches

M&E supplier Kem Edwards opened branches in Bristol and Manchester in June as part of its £2m investment programme.
Kem Edwards believes the new sites will help the firm compete for the 'growing number of major regional projects, particular in the south west and north west of England and in Wales'.

The company will keep its Sunbury-on-Thames headquarters. New staff including regional account managers have been recruited.

Richard Edwards, managing director of Kem Edwards, said 'While we have always provided a national service, having regional branches for our customers and their projects will help them get more from our innovative products and solutions.'

The firm's pre-fabrication facility which offers more off-site work for customers, was launched last year from the firm's London headquarters but has outgrown the site. As part of its investment plans, the Kem Edwards is looking to relocate the pre-fabrication facility to a new site within the M25 area.

'By providing pre-fabrication in a controlled environment we are helping improve accuracy and this ensures ease-of-use on-site and helps control costs by saving time and skills required. We are seeing a massive increase in the demand for this service,' said Edwards.

Kem Edwards supplies tools, fixings, pipe support and cable management products to projects including T5 Swiss Re HQ, 02 Arena and Wembley stadium.
