J S Wright receives world-leading training award

Birmingham building services provider JS Wright has received a coveted award from a world-renowned training organisation for investing in its people.
The Aston-based company, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, has joined the likes of Coca-Cola, Adidas and Boeing after being presented with the Dale Carnegie Excellence Award in Leadership Development.

The honour from the acclaimed American-based foundation recognises companies that are committed to improving their performance by developing their people at all levels.

'JS Wright has been recognised for the exceptional value that it places on its human resources,' said Ed Carter, Dale Carnegie chief executive for Central England. 'The company has a very clear sense of direction and even in a time of recession has not wavered from its commitment to growing through staff training.'

Managing director Marcus Aniol received an inscribed glass plaque on behalf of the company's 100 Birmingham and London-based staff.

'We are delighted to receive this award from such a prestigious organisation,' said Aniol. 'It rewards the ongoing commitment by our board to developing our business on the back of a highly-motivated and superbly-trained management team.'

Simon Bevin, CAD Supervisor at JS Wright, also received a top individual award from Dale Carnegie after being voted by his fellow participants as the highest achiever on the foundation's Effective Communications and Human Relations course.

The company launched the JS Wright Academy as a career development forum for its Birmingham and London apprentices with the help of Dale Carnegie two years ago.

All employees can also enroll on Dale Carnegie personal development and leadership courses, as well other internal, college and supplier courses throughout their careers.

JS Wright is a specialist provider of building services to the residential, student accommodation, hotels, leisure and commercial sectors.
