Tony Ellis, a former president of the ICOM Energy Association, who at the age of 77 ran the same commercial heating firm he founded in 1972, has died.
News of the death of Tony Ellis on April 9 of heart failure, has saddened friends and colleagues at his Slough-based company A R Ellis. A thanksgiving service celebrating his life will be held on April 30 at St Mary's Church in Langley.
Thirty-eight years ago, Tony Ellis founded the heating company A R Ellis and became a member of the ICOM Energy Association that same year.
The ICOM Energy Association represents manufacturers and importers of industrial and commercial heating equipment and John Ellis was appointed as a member of association's council in 1981.
In 2005, Ellis was appointed president of the association, a post that he held three years.
As well as running his own business, Ellis remained an active member of council until his death.
