HVR Awards 2023 host announced

TV and radio presenter Lindsey Chapman has been announced as the host for the 2023 edition of the HVR Awards which will be held at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London on October 5.

HVR Awards host Lindsey Chapman

A sassy, young Northerner, Lindsey likes to tackle the big issues – climate change, people and progress – with a fresh approach. She's a self confessed netball fanatic and is the international netball commentator for Sky Sports and the BBC. Head and heart, her passion is connecting people with the changing world around them.

She has fronted shows including Springwatch Unsprung with Chris Packham (BBC Two), Big Blue UK alongside Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (BBC One), Animals After Dark and Wild with Steve Backshall (Channel 5). Lindsey also writes and present programmes for BBC Radio 5 live and BBC Radio 4 including Out of the Wood, Pick of the Week, Contains Strong Language with Jeremy Irons and Costing the Earth.

Organised by Datateam Business Media, the HVR Awards will celebrate the best of the best across the HVAC industry. Hundreds of industry professionals will attend what promises to be a bumper event with more categories and a record number of finalists.

Following a rigorous decision-making process, the finalists have been revealed (https://hvrawards.com/finalists-2023/) made up of the sector’s leading companies, products and professionals.

In four categories including the Training Provider of the year, the Wholesalers/Distributor of the Year, the HVAC Woman of the Year, and the Rising Star, results have been decided in an extremely hotly contested online voting poll.

For the remaining 12 categories, the task of deliberating over each entry was placed in the hands of an expert panel of judges including Martyn Cooper of FETA, Steve McConnell of ICOM, Graeme Fox of BESA, head of BESA’s RACHP group Richard Merritt, Lucy Pemble of the Carbon Trust and Business Consultant Sue Sharp.

Guests at the HVR Awards 2023 will be able to network with peers during the exclusive drinks reception and will have the chance to enjoy a delicious three-course dinner and wine, before the awards ceremony begins.

With the event just around the corner, limited tickets are still available. To secure your place at the event, head to the website at https://hvrawards.com/book-tickets/

Sponsors so far include BESA and NAADUK and efam air while supporters include ICOM and FETA. To get involved by sponsoring, contact James Marshall-Loughran at jmarshall-loughran@datateam.co.uk for information.

Carbon reductions for northern arena

Rinnai hot water systems are projected to produce ‘significant’ carbon reductions at a huge indoor arena in the North of England. The company has produced a designed system based on its R290 high-temperature heat pump. This arena regularly hosts large events such as concerts, conferences, theatre plays, exhibitions, live music and other conventions – so the site must have an energy efficient and carbon-reducing hot water system to achieve NetZero.
