HVCA Scotland promotes energy-saving measures

HVCA Scotland has distributed a pack of “mini-posters” to almost 3,000 public sector buildings north of the border, in a bid to promote the wider introduction of basic energy-saving measures.

The mini-posters – which provide 10 Simple Steps to a Greener Building – are designed for employees to pin around the workplace, and so encourage colleagues to act responsibly in relation to fuel economy.

'As the premier organisation representing the interests of firms
that design, install, commission and maintain heating, ventilating,
air conditioning and refrigeration systems, HVCA is committed to
the provision of sustainable solutions across the built environment,' explained Eddie Myles, chairman of HVCA Scotland.

'We are therefore keen to persuade everyone to play a part in saving energy, reducing carbon emissions and combating global warming.'
