Over the course of the year, Groupe Atlantic will be launching a number of initiatives to support Macmillan, including making a contribution to the charity from the sales of all its products.
Shaun Edwards, chief executive of the Group Atlantic UK and Republic of Ireland division said: “Cancer is something that will affect all of us, either directly or indirectly. We are extremely humbled and privileged to partner with Macmillan Cancer Support and be part of something that can make such a difference to people following a cancer diagnosis.
“Raising money for charity is something everyone in our division loves to do. From cake sales to sporting events, and with a staff of over 1000, there is something for everyone to take part in.”
There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to four million by 2030. Macmillan works to make sure it can provide support to all those who need it, and to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.
