Plumbing merchant Gledhill has hired Dave Gledhill to take on the role of managing director, replacing Simon Carin, from October 1, 2009.
Gledhill joined Graham's sister company, Jewson, in 1986, starting in a sales role. He has held senior management roles in Frazer, IDS and Platform, and two years ago was appointed the first managing director of the Timber Group.
Former md Simon Carin will become the md of Solaglas, the distributor and installer of glass related systems.
Carin has spent seven years with Graham and as responsible for doubling the Graham network to 230 branches, oversaw the acquisition of Curzon Heating Components.
'Thanks to Simon and his team, Graham already enjoys strong brand and industry presence', said David Gledhill.
He added: 'I intend to build on these achievements and continue to strengthen Graham's position within the UK marketplace'.
