FETA celebrates 30th anniversary

FETA recently marked its 30th anniversary with a drinks reception at London’s Savoy Hotel.

The event was held in the hotel’s Pinafore Room. Its interior is the oldest in the hotel, dating back to 1926, and it was used by Winston Churchill for the exclusive dining club that he founded in 1910.  Photographs of many British prime ministers line the walls and a bust of Winston Churchill takes pride of place, reflecting that it was here in December 1964, that he made his final public appearance.

FETA honoured its members and staff and reflected on its dedication to the industries that its six associations represent. Guests included representatives from trade associations, sector organisations and government departments who were thanked for their support to FETA over the preceding decades. Attendees enjoyed canapés and wine, whilst being formally welcomed by the FETA chairman and president of HEVAC, Mike Nankivell.

The local MP for Maidenhead (and Home Secretary), the Rt Hon Theresa May MP, was guest of honour and congratulated FETA on its achievements.
