EOGB Energy Products Ltd, the burner manufacturer and distributor, has introduced the new OFTEC 201 commercial assessment course at its training facility in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
It aims to give oil technicians a greater knowledge of the commissioning and servicing of multi-stage commercial burners and the company says it provides a great opportunity for engineers to upskill and discover potential new business opportunities.
In addition to providing the standard OFT201 training and assessment package, EOGB is also currently the only training provider in the UK to offer additional burner manufacturer training to satisfy the requirement of British Standard 5410 (part 3).
Technical director Martin Cooke said: “At EOGB we’re able to offer engineers a unique OFTEC 201 package which means they can complete all their training with us, instead of having to visit both a training centre and a manufacturer to satisfy BS5410. This is proving very popular and we’ve already received a lot of interest so we would recommend booking early to secure a place.”
Starting in February, the three-day course involves theory and practical burner training including health and safety, combustion theory, detailed fault finding and burner commissioning. It is carried out in small groups of no more than five people.
