THE domestic central heating market is set to grow every year culminating in overall growth of 7% in real terms during the years 2007 - 2011.
According to The UK Domestic Central Heating Market Development Report by Market & Business Development, in 2011 sales are projected to reach £1.724billion at 2006 prices. During the forecast period, growth rates are expected to oscillate between 1% and 3% in real terms.

However, UK demand for boilers is projected to decline by a strong 11% in real terms this year to a low of £709.1million (at 2006 prices). This is expected to be followed by moderate year-on-year growth to £750million in 2011 at 2006 prices. This is equivalent to a decline of 5% in real terms compared with 2006.

The UK market for parts for boilers is set to demonstrate strong real term growth of 31% this year. However in the remaining years of the forecast period more moderate yearly growth of 3% in real terms is projected. In 2011, sales of £403.5million (at 2006 prices) are expected. The proportional importance of this sector is expected to increase during the frorecast period from 18% last year to 23% in 2011.

In 2011, the UK market for radiators is expected to reach £336.2million (at 2006 prices).

This year, the UK central heating pumps market is expected to increase by 3% in real terms to a peak of £56.3million (at 2006 prices).
