Dimplex is game to support Bristol Club

Heating manufacturer Dimplex has lent its support to social housing maintenance provider Connaught to help refurbish a community centre for young people in Bristol.
The Young Bristol club has a membership of more than 200 13-19 year olds and although cash had been raised to replace its roof, extra help was needed to complete the refurbishment project.

Connaught staff renovated the building during 8 months, with support from businesses including Dimplex. Dimplex products are frequently used by Connaught in social housing properties. Dimplex donated the essential heating requirements of five PLX panel heaters for use in the club's games room. Dimplex's 'ultra slim PLX' panel heater range is often used to heat areas and rooms that require heating for only short periods of the day.

Young Bristol's club manager Lee Williams said “This is a true community challenge that is having a really positive effect on the community now and for the years to come.”

Connaught’s community challenges are part of its academy leadership development programme. This combines staff training and development with its commitment to helping the communities in which it works.
