Heating product manufacturer Danfoss has announced that it has acquired Germany's DMS Wasser-Warmetechnik GmbH.
DMS Wasser-Warmetechnik produces anti-legionnaire solutions for domestic hot-water.

Danfoss has agreed to take on the firm's sales, marketing and technical support.

DMS' Legiokill has a range of anti-legionnaire solutions for large residential buildings, similar to the Danfoss' Thermoclean range.

DMS Wasser-Warmetechnik's range of products include the two-tank commercial system designed to kill Legionella bacteria. One tank heats domestic hot water to 158°F to kill bacteria, then cools it back down to a usable temperature by running it through a flat-plate heat exchanger and storing it in the second tank.

Danfoss hopes the acquisition will help it take the lead when it comes to offering a full range of solutions for the domestic hot-water market.
