Climate Center to supply Daikin's VRV ac systems across the UK

Climate Center has signed a nationwide supply agreement with Daikin UK for the latter's VRV air conditioning.

The agreement gives Climate Center access to Daikin's VRV III range, and 'opens up opportunities for the company in medium and large-scale projects' where the system's extended pipe runs and flexibility are said to enable it to compete with traditional chillers for high value projects.

The latest agreement builds on the wholesaler partnership between the companies which was established in 2008, and follows a period of comprehensive training in VRV technology, designed to equip Climate's technical sales teams to support customers in system design and product selection.

Ian Carroll, who heads up Climate's air conditioning business, said: 'We are delighted to be able to offer Daikin's VRV product to our customers. The company has led the market ever since it launched the first VRV more than two decades ago, and it remains a world-beater. We are excited about the opportunities it opens up for us, and are already in advanced discussions on a number of prestigious projects.'

Julian Brunnock, Daikin UK business development manager, said: 'We are extremely pleased with the success of the wholesaler partnership we have formed with Climate Center. The addition of the VRV range marks a positive change in our joint ambitions, and we believe it offers tremendous potential for both companies for the future.'

Daikin VRV products are available from Climate Center's branches alongside existing air conditioning ranges from Fujitsu and Toshiba, completing the supplier's offering in this important and growing sector of the market.
