Buying British will help the industry says Heatrae Sadia

Heatrae Sadia believes that even in economically difficult times it's important to remain focused on home-grown products.
The water heating specialist has identified a market demand for a range of high-quality commercial unvented cylinders. Managing director Paul Rivett explains: 'Recent market research revealed that the current choice of commercial water heating products is quite fragmented, and the options are confusing. In response we took the decision to start manufacturing Megaflo Commercial - a larger capacity version of our successful Megaflo Eco - designed for commercial, public sector and large residential projects.'

Speaking about the Megaflo Commercial, which is manufactured in a UK factory, Mr Rivett said: 'We can offer a lead time of 10 working days from order, a significant improvement on both UK and export products currently on the market.'

Heatrae Sadia says it has made significant investment in its UK manufacturing by introducing a new semi-automated production line, at its Norwich factory. The new facility has created jobs for skilled workers which Mr Rivett says will also benefit the wider industry as by sourcing a product from the UK it cuts down the carbon emissions used to ship products across the world.

He added: 'It is vital to continue to invest in new product development. Not only does this help to support our customers, but it also ensures we are prepared for the more positive times ahead.'
